Priyanka Gandhi will contest from Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala. Congress party has formally announced Priyanka as its candidate. Party general secretary KC Venugopal announced Priyanka as its candidate. Priyanka herself has agreed to represent the party from Wayanad. After the announcement by party national president Kharge in June, Priyanka had said that it would be her good fortune to contest from here.

She has been active in politics for five years, will contest parliamentary elections for the first time

If elected from Wayanad, Priyanka will become a member of any House for the first time. She entered active politics before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Since then she has been serving as the party general secretary.
