Project Udaan launched for school drop out students in Baddi
With the help of Foundational Learning Program, children will be able to go to school again - Ajay Yadav ADC Solan
Baddi, July 16, 2024 – L'Oréal India launches Project Udaan, a CSR campaign in Baddi to support the education of underprivileged children from migrant communities living around its Baddi plant. A large number of migrant laborers live in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. The children of these migrant workers need additional support to overcome their learning difficulties and enroll in formal school to continue their education.
L'Oréal India's Project Udaan in collaboration with Pratham Education Foundation supports school drop-out students through the Foundational Learning Programme. The campaign began with the inauguration of an education center in the presence of Sh Ajay Kumar Yadav, Additional District Collector, IAS, Solan.
Here, pre-school and out-of-school children will be helped to become school-ready, and children in classes 1 to 5 will be taught foundational literacy and numeracy skills. Here the mothers of the children will also be encouraged to take active part in their studies.

In the next phase of Project Udaan, another education center will be opened near our plant in Chakan, Maharashtra.”
Under this campaign, L'Oréal India is committed to support 4000 children in Himachal Pradesh and Maharashtra, and aims to reach 30,000 children in India by 2030.
