China has been witnessing a massive unrest in capital Shanghai where protesters chanted "Step down, Xi Jingping! Step down, Communist party!"

The unrest has erupted over the country's strict covid-19 measures where people are seen protesting with blank sheets of paper against the state censorship which is an extremely rare incident.

These latest protests were sparked after the death of 10 people in a fire at an apartment building in the Northwestern city of Urumchi on Thursday.

People blamed the deaths on lockdown restrictions which they say hampered rescue efforts while some locals were banned from leaving their homes for over three months.

Young chinese people are posting very critical videos against the government and supporting protests but they are being censored immediately.

However, the chinese government is known to have a very low tolerance for criticism.

But finally the chinese people have come up against the injustices of the government which has come out of being under regress lockdowns.

This is happen to be one of the biggest protests in china since 1990's where people are not only criticizing the zero covert policy of the government but also going against Xi Jinping's rule.
