I have been lucky, when it comes to men in my life and their understanding and the support they have given to me about the normalcy of menstruation.
Well period does come with many problems and period rashes is among one of them. Earlier I used to be always irritated about the period rash, thus my ex boyfriend introduced me to tampons, which I'll be ever grateful to him about.
Conversation regarding Menstruation in families are necessary, and boys when very young are supposed to be educated by their own families in order to have acceptance and normalcy about Menstruation.
I have a younger brother, and he's absolutely emphatic about my mood swings and menstrual cramps. Every time I am down, he's super concerned and is always asking me if he can do anything to make me feel better or can help me in anyway.
Back in school I remember my male classmates making fun of girls in the class for using periods as an excuse to avoid playing or for taking some relaxation from certain activities. Somehow I feel it's because of lack of awareness among men, that they don't understand how crazy mentally, physically and emotionally periods can be.
Menstruation is normal and a regular event in a women's life. A woman spends more than half of her life bleeding. Men don't bleed, they can't bleed, the least they can do is be empathetic towards the women in their life, and not mock the natural phenomenon.
Because from menstruation, menopause and mental breakdown, just notice how women problems begin with men!
