Heaven on earth!
Qargha Dam is one of the places of interest and entertainment for the citizens of Afghanistan, especially the citizens of Kabul, which is located five kilometers from the capital.
Vast neighborhoods with beautiful and spectacular hills, lush trees, colorful flowers, waterfalls, clean restaurants, a fresh and clean climate, and security have made this section attract many foreign citizens and tourists.
The war-torn and insecure Afghanistan you see in the news pictures also has safe and beautiful areas like Qargha Dam, which remain untouched and pristine.
"Domestic and foreign tourists come here every day, and we hope that our hot summer market will be warm all year round," said Sadegh Omari, a kebab maker in Qargha Band. "Stay."
Qargha Dam was built in 1330 during the reign of Mohammad Zahir Shah, the then King of Afghanistan, and it is told that at that time, several government officials lived on the four sides of this dam and lived there. Even now, 40 years after the coup against Mohammad Zahir Shah and the events that have shaken Afghanistan since then, wealthy people and government officials still live in this safe and scenic spot on the outskirts of Kabul.
There was only one restaurant in this place called "Spozhemi," which in recent years, gradually other entertainment sections, such as hotels and restaurants, have been created in this section, making it a center for cable and nature lovers.
It is said that the purpose of building the Qargha Dam was to improve the groundwater situation, irrigate Kabul's agricultural lands and protect the water that flowed into the dam from the mountains of the Paghman Valley.
