Railways will operate more than 900 special trains on the main bathing festival of Maha Kumbh Mela. For security purposes, artificial based cameras will be installed in all rail engines. Such cameras will also be installed in the station yard. Chairman Railway Board (CRB) Jaya Verma Sinha said this on Tuesday.
CRB took stock of the railway preparations in view of the fair on Tuesday. Apart from Prayagraj Junction, Phaphamau, Prayagraj Sangam, Prayag Junction, Jhunsi, Rambagh railway stations, they also inspected I Triple C located in the fair area.At Prayagraj Junction, he said that the Railways is making all arrangements for safety and security. During the Kumbh Mela in 2019, 530 special trains were operated on the main bathing festival. This time there is a plan to run more than 900 trains on the main bathing festival. If needed, more trains can also be operated.
Talking to reporters in the crew lobby of Prayagraj Junction, the chairman said that the work of redevelopment of Prayagraj Junction is going on. A part of it is planned to be done before the Maha Kumbh, while the entire construction will be done in about two years. The Railways has also prepared a plan to evacuate the passengers safely by coordinating with various departments of the state and central government.
