The globally acclaimed Redmi Note series is back with a bang. The next generation of Redmi Note phones is set to hit the market soon, with the brand confirming a launch this week. The Redmi Note 13 series, which includes the Redmi Note 13 Pro, Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus, and Redmi Note 13 Yibo Edition, will be unveiled in China on September 21 at a conference scheduled for 7 p.m. GMT+8. While there’s less information about the regular Redmi Note 13, it’s expected to join the lineup alongside its siblings.
Redmi Note 13 series will introduce a fresh design that diverges from its predecessor, the Redmi Note 12 series. While the new design will bear some resemblance to the previous generation, it will bring unique elements to the table. The Redmi Note 13 Pro will maintain the front and back glass design with a flat frame, but the camera island will adopt the design of the Xiaomi 13 series, with protruding units. The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus, on the other hand, will feature a camera placement similar to the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, but with a curved screen and a synthetic leather back.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus are set to make history as the first phones in the Redmi Note series to feature 1.5K resolution OLED screens and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. Furthermore, the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus will be the first phone in the Redmi Note series to feature a curved screen. The screen will also offer a maximum brightness of 1800 nits and will be equipped with 1920 Hz PWM dimming technology and DC dimming technology.
The Redmi Note 13 Yibo Edition is expected to share the same specifications as the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus. However, the details about the regular Redmi Note 13 remain undisclosed. The pricing for the Redmi Note 13 series is expected to start at approximately $165 for the regular model, with the Pro and Pro Plus models starting from $235, offering a competitive price point for the high-end features and specifications.
