After the successful rescue operation of all 41 workers trapped inside Uttarkashi's Silkyara tunnel, their health has become a top priority. The workers were immediately taken to a 40-bedded health facility at Chinyalisaur, approximately 30 kilometers away from the tunnel site, for thorough medical examinations and observation.
A total of three health facilities were set up for the workers' health check-ups. A 10-bedded facility was established at the tunnel site, a 40-bedded facility at Chinyalisaur, and another facility at the district hospital in Uttarkashi. The workers will undergo detailed medical examinations, and they will only be discharged once they stabilize and their health is confirmed.
The rescue operation involved the deployment of nearly 40 ambulances at the tunnel site, emphasizing the importance of immediate medical attention. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that the workers crawled out of the tunnel on their own instead of being carried on stretchers, indicating their overall health.
