In this post, I’ll be sharing some tips to provide some ease in drafting your first ever research paper!

A small class assignment or writing a piece for a prestigious journal, the process and work you need to put into your paper remains the same.

There are 7 components to writing a paper:

1. Introduction

2. Literature review

3. Hypothesis

4. Methodology

5. Discussion of results and analysis of data/ research

6. Statement of limitations

7. Conclusion

The last step is to provide a bibliography, which is to provide credit and cite the sources you’ve borrowed your information from!

This step is extremely crucial and has to be properly formatted to give credibility to your paper.

In the picture above, a brief outline of the process is given. While the outline covers everything, it’s not a restriction to limit yourself to these headers!
