I use resistance bands for my neck. And I will use resistance bands with barbells and dumbbells.
Over the years I’ve found resistance bands to be the better option over dumbbells or barbells. They provide the same EMG activation as weights but with less chance of injury. They’re super convenient to carry around. They’re essential to any core movements and the various number of exercises you can perform with them absolutely destroy barbells or dumbbells.
With weights you’re limited to a gym or equipment. But With bands the possibilities are endless. Although I would argue a healthy combination of all is essential for your strength conditioning.
