Samsung has extended its rollout of the December 2023 security update for the Galaxy S23 series to users in India. The update, marked by firmware version S91xBXXS3BWKC, addresses approximately 75 security vulnerabilities identified in the previous software version. Despite focusing on security enhancements, no additional features or performance improvements accompany this update.

Users with Galaxy S23, S23+, or S23 Ultra devices in India can check for the update by navigating to Settings » Software update and selecting Download and install. Alternatively, tech-savvy users can manually flash the new firmware files, available in the firmware database, onto their phones. This process requires a computer running Windows and access to the Odin tool.

Earlier, Samsung introduced the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update for the Galaxy S23 series, and subsequently, the company has delivered two security updates to bolster the flagship smartphones' defenses. The Galaxy S23, which debuted with Android 14, is committed to receiving four major Android OS updates, with one already implemented. As Samsung continues its software support, users can anticipate further enhancements and security updates for their Galaxy S23 devices.
