South Korean smartphone maker is reportedly gearing up to launch the Galaxy S24 Ultra 5G, S24 Plus 5G and S24 5G at its Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event in January next year in India.
In a piece of update around these smartphones, the company could reportedly call these models AI Phones.
According to a report from GalaxyClub, the company aims to register trademarks for names such as Magic Pixel, Flex Magic and Flex Magic Pixel and a few logos. These could be AR-related products which may include virtual keyboard projection gadgets, VR glasses, VR headsets, smart glasses and more. Other products could include TVs and smartphone displays.
Besides these other products, the company is also working to claim the name 'AI Phone' in its bag, according to reports. Samsung is applying for trademarks of two terms: 'AI Phone' and 'AI Smartphone'. The company also launched the Galaxy AI app to join the AI bandwagon ignited by AI superpowers by OpenAI and Microsoft.
While these might sound too generic to get clearance, the intent is clear to market the AI capabilities of the upcoming phones. SamMobile reported in the past that the company aims to bet big on AI with the Galaxy S24 series.
According to reports, the company could launch its Samsung Galaxy S24 series at the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event on January 17 in San Jose, California.
The release seems imminent as the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 5G and Galaxy S24 Plus recently received BIS certification. Moreover, the top-end model is expected to debut with significant upgrades like a titanium frame, an improved processor, a comparatively flat screen and more.
