Sarojini Damodaran Foundation has launched scholarships for secondary and graduate students of Delhi and Haryana under the Shibulal Family Philanthropic Initiative. Students whose family's annual income is up to Rs 2 lakh can apply on the foundation's portal and get annual scholarships ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 75,000 for various courses. Foundation's Principal Advisor Pankaj Tripathi said that the Vidyadhan Scholarship Program was started in 1999 with the aim of changing lives through education for meritorious students from economically deprived families. He said that in the 25th year, scholarships are available in 17 states of the country. This year the scholarship program has been expanded to Delhi and Haryana.
Vidyadhan Delhi's Program Associate Anurag Kushwaha said that currently 300 students of various courses are taking advantage of the scholarship. This scholarship is for economically deprived students. They should have passed 10th and 12th class and their annual income should be less than Rs 2 lakh.
