• Eat a heart healthy diet
• If overweight, lose weight
• Overweight us defined as the BMI of 25 or above. Central obesity or adiposity on the other hand is a high waist circumference which is more than 80 cm for females and 90 cm for males.
• Increase regular physical activity to at least 2.5 hours per week
• Don’t use tobacco
• Avoid use of alcohol
• Have your blood pressure and blood sugar checked regularly
