Maintaining our physical, mental, and emotional health requires self-care.
Self care is the act of taking intentional steps to nurture ourselves and prioritize our needs. Exercise, a healthy diet, getting enough sleep, meditation, spending time with loved ones, engaging in hobbies, and declining commitments that don't serve us are all examples of self-care practises.
Self-care, however, is frequently seen as a luxury rather than a necessity, and many people find it challenging to prioritise in their hectic schedules. However, neglecting one's own needs can result in stress, burnout, and even physical and mental health issues.
Therefore, it's essential to prioritise self-care, even if it means making time for it in our hectic schedules. By prioritising our own health, we can improve our capacity for resilience, productivity, and effectiveness.
Remember, self-care is not selfish, it's self-preservation.
