So many of us are constantly waging this battle against our bodies - in the hopes that losing some weight will give us the sex life we desire. But poor body image can actually lead to unsatisfactory sex! So here are some tips to feel less conscious about your body in the bedroom ;
1 Find positions you feel confident in Some sex positions make you feel more exposed and self-conscious than others. So experiment a bit with the different positions and find the ones you feel most confident in.
2 Focus on the sensations - While getting in the mood, try to get out of your head and focus on what's going on instead of your appearance. Close your eyes to help you concentrate on the sensations if needed.
3 Use dim lighting- Harsh, white lighting can make you feel more conscious by putting your insecurities in focus. Instead, using dim, yellow lights can actually make you feel sexier in your own skin!
4 Try talking dirty - Talking dirty during sex can really give you a confidence boost by making you feel more desirable and into the act. So, if both of you are comfortable, engage in dirty talk.
Remember - Your weight has absolutely no connection to having a great sex life. It might take time to become less conscious about your body when getting intimate, but it's not impossible. Just give yourself time and be open and honest with your partner!
