Born on 10 April 1982, Shri Shakir Khan has received training in the Etawah gharana under Shahid Parvez Khan for about 25 years.

A member of ICCR, and Ustad Rashid Khan's Academy - The Fifth Note Global Centre of Excellence (HOD of Sitar), he has received the CCRT scholarship and the All India Radio scholarship.

Shakir Khan has performed at prestigious events like Dover Lane Music Conference, Kolkata; Sawa Gandharva Music Festival Pune; Woodstock Festival, Poland, etc.

Shri Shakir Khan is awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for the year 2019 for his notable talent in the field of Hindustani instrumental music.
