Shakuni Mama of Mahabharat passes away.

The actor well known for his role of Shakuni Mama in Mahabharat was aged 78. He passed away on Monday morning around 9 am.

The actor was suffering from health issues and was hospitalized. He passed away in the middle of his sleep and the reason for his death is reported to be age-related health issues. His son Harry Panitak announced the sad demise by sharing a note on social media.

Gufi Paintal played the prominent role of Shakuni Mama in BR Chopra’s 1980s TV show Mahabharat.

The actor is survived by his son Harry Patel, daughter-in-law, and a grandchild.

His son wrote “With profound grief we announce the sad demise of our father Mr. Gufi Paintal (Shakuni Mama). He passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by family.”
