Who knew an organ could do so much? The uterus is truly a wonder of the human body.
Yes, it's true! It makes room and adjusts for a baby for 9 months & provides them everything they need to grow & develop. But that's not all it does. It is a mighty muscle that uses vertical and horizontal fibres to birth a baby with the strongest force of any muscle in the body.
It is the only organ in the human body that can grow its own organ! It grows the placenta, which is very important for the growth & nourishment of the baby. And once the baby is delivered, the placenta is delivered with it.
The uterus prepares a lining every month, whether the egg attaches itself or not. If the egg doesn't attach itself, then the lining is shed through menstruation every month until menopause.
