We always want to be there for our friends, especially when they are having a hard time. But, how do we know when they need our help?
Here are some signs you need to check-in on someone :
*They are acting out- maybe they seem more irritated than usual which feels very "out of character".
*They have gone quiet- it could be that they are withdrawing from others , which is often a sign of poor mental health.
*They have experienced some new challenges- weather it's a loss, a break up, losing a Job or even moving to a new place, they might really need to talk.
*They are always helping others but appear distant- sometimes people care so much for others they neglect themselves and their own mental health.
Do you and your friend usually chat a couple of times a week, but lately it's been pretty silent?no text? No call?
If so, it's a good idea to check-in.
Reach out and let them know you are there!
