Sikyong Penpa Tsering, the democratically elected leader of the Central Tibetan Administration, addressed the Tibetan community in Barcelona on November 27. Following his official visits to Canada and America, he received a warm welcome at Barcelona Airport. Ven Thupten Wangchen and Representative Rigzin Choedon Genkhang greeted him. During the meeting with Tibetan residents, Sikyong discussed his engagements with Canadian MPs, the Southern American tour, and his activities in Washington DC.

He emphasized building support for the Tibetan cause and highlighted the reintroduction of a bipartisan bill on Tibet in Congress. Sikyong stressed the importance of adhering to the aspirations of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, addressing the emergency situation in Tibet, preserving Tibetan culture, and promoting the Middle Way Approach. The session included a question-answer segment, and Sikyong acknowledged the official representative of Tibet House, MP Thupten Wangchen. Following discussions with La Vanguardia reporters, he departed for Vienna on November 28.
