With inauguration of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, there are many stories of people coming from across the country and world, towards their dedication and faith towards Ram Lalla.
A saint who has been silent since 1980 will finally utter his first words by uttering Lord Ram's name or 'Ram Naam Jap' on January 22 after the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla at Ayodhya's Ram Temple.
Named Mohan Gopal Das at birth, 'Mauni Baba' is believed to have been among the Kar Sevaks who demolished Babri Masjid, news agency ANI reported. He took his vow of silence at the age of 10. So how does he express himself? He does so using chalks and a slate. He also uses pen and paper sometimes.
The ascetic has also been walking around barefoot since 1984, when he pledged to put on slippers only after Lord Ram is installed on the "throne of Ayodhya".
He says has "full faith" in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and that he will surely receive an invitation to attend the inauguration. Every day, Mauni Baba goes to the Superintendent of Police office and the Collector's office in the hope of an invitation. As per ANI, he has also applied to the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police in this matter.
