This island in Brazil is no place to visit, even if you’re not deathly afraid of snakes. Less than 100 miles away from Sao Paulo, Brazil, is Snake Island, or Ilha de Queimada Grande in Portuguese.

The island is infested with snakes and is home to one of the deadliest snakes in the world, the golden lancehead viper. Home to an estimated 4,000 venomous lancehead vipers, this is considered one of the worlds’ deadliest islands.
The venom from one of these snakes can kill someone in under an hour.
