Talking about books is always interesting because they have a lot to offer. These are some of my favourites!
1. The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood
Atwood's way of writing is unique, The Handmaid's Tale is a futuristic dystopian novel published in 1985. "It is set in a near-future New England, in a strongly patriarchal, totalitarian theonomic state, known as the Republic of Gilead, which has overthrown the United States government."
2. The Silver Pigs by Lindsey Davis
The Silver Pigs is a 1989 historical mystery crime novel by Lindsey Davis and the first book in the Marcus Didius Falco Mysteries series. Set in Rome and Britannia during AD 70, just after the year of the four emperors, the novel stars Marcus Didius Falco, informer and imperial agent.
3. The Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Gilbert
The Signature of All Things is a novel by Elizabeth Gilbert. It was originally published in 2013 and longlisted for the Baileys Women's Prize for Fiction.
4. Five-Carat Soul by James McBride

5. 1984 by George Orwell
Nineteen Eighty-Four is a dystopian social science fiction novel and cautionary tale written by the English writer George Orwell. It was published on 8 June 1949 by Secker & Warburg as Orwell's ninth and final book completed in his lifetime.
