Song Ji Hyo has filed a lawsuit against the former CEO of Uzu Rocks.

On May 24, a Song Ji Hyo representative stated, "It is true that Song Ji Hyo, through her legal representative, filed a legal complaint against former CEO Mr Park for violating the Act on Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement) at the Seoul Gangnam Police Station.

"As it can only be seen as a situation where the former CEO did not operate the corporation normally, and since there was even a delay in paying wages to employees," they added, "we have taken action to urge a quick investigation to prevent another victim from occurring."

Song Ji Hyo signed an exclusive contract with Uzu Rocks last October, which also houses Song Ji Hyo's "Running Man" co-star Ji Suk Jin.

Earlier that day, on April 5, Uzu Rocks was accused of failing to pay its artists and employees due to financial difficulties. In response to the reports, Uzu Rocks issued an official statement stating that some of the information is incorrect. “All the incumbents will be paid their wages around April 10, which is the original payment day. Quarterly settlement for our agency’s artists will also be carried out smoothly as scheduled.

Song Ji Hyo notified Uzu Rocks on April 14 of the termination of her exclusive contract and the filing of legal action for unpaid settlement. Following the news of Song Ji Hyo's request to end her exclusive contract, Uzu Rocks apologised and confirmed that they had agreed to end their exclusive contract. Park Joo Nam, CEO of Uzu Rocks, resigned on April 26.
