Spain 2-1 England: La Roja Crowned Euro Champions  2024!

Spain have been crowned the Euro champions for the fourth time in their history after beating England 2-1 in the final. Owing to their win, La Roja are now the most successful team in European championship history.

After a goalless first half, Nico Williams scored the first for Spain in the 47th minute. However England soon equalized courtesy of a brilliant Cole Palmer finish to make it 1-1 in the 73rd minute. With the game looking to be headed to extra time, Marc Cucurella provided a sublime pass inside the box for Mikel Oyarzabal as the Real Sociedad player tapped the ball in to score in the 86th minute, helping La Roja win 2-1 on the night.

Spain have now been crowned the champions of Europe after 12 years. On the other hand, England have now lost back-to-back Euro finals under Gareth Southgate. Will the English manager continue with the team on road to the 2026 FIFA World Cup? Let me know your thoughts...
