Spanish Mackerel is really large compared to Mackerel from the Arabian Sea. But that distinct smell it’s very well there besides the taste. The wind in Mediterranean Sea side and the Arabian Sea side carry a similar distinctive smell... it’s perhaps the mackerel. Who knows😀
