"Spice Up Our Love" Spin-Off Drama to Debut After "No Gain No Love" Premiere

Exciting new details have emerged about the forthcoming spin-off of “No Gain No Love,” titled “Spice Up Our Love.”

This romance fantasy drama centers on Nam Ja Yeon (Han Ji Hyun), an R-rated romance web novelist who unexpectedly transforms into her novel’s heroine, Seo Yeon Seo. She soon finds herself in an unpredictable romance with the story’s male lead, Kang Ha Joon (Lee Sang Yi).

The spin-off, titled “Spice Up Our Love” (literally translating to “The CEO’s Meal Plan” in Korean), is named after Nam Ja Yeon’s web novel featured in the original series “No Gain No Love.” In this new drama, the world within the web novel becomes the main setting and plot focus.

In “No Gain No Love,” Han Ji Hyun plays Nam Ja Yeon, an inexperienced R-rated web novelist, while Lee Sang Yi takes on the role of Bok Gyu Hyun, a third-generation CEO skeptical of romance. Though their relationship is marked by a love-hate dynamic in the original series, it evolves into a full-blown romance in the spin-off.

Regarding the spin-off, the production team shared, “Even though ‘No Gain No Love’ has not yet aired, we are thrilled to expand the story of the second couple through this spin-off. We had fun working on it since it’s a new approach, and we believe it will appeal to drama fans with its wide range of entertainment. We ask for your interest and anticipation.”

“No Gain No Love” is set to premiere on August 26 at 8:50 p.m. KST, with the TVING original series “Spice Up Our Love” slated for release in the latter half of 2024.
