Chandigarh: Punjab and Chandigarh have made it to the finals of the sub-junior boys Inline hockey event at the 61st National Skating Championship held in Chandigarh on Wednesday.
In a tightly contested match, Punjab emerged victorious over Haryana with a slender 1-0 win, securing their spot in the title clash. Simultaneously, Chandigarh exhibited their prowess by defeating Andhra Pradesh with a 3-2 scoreline in the second semi-final, confirming their berth in the much-anticipated final showdown.
Meanwhile, in the sub-junior boys roller hockey event, Tamil Nadu and Jammu & Kashmir showcased their skills, earning spots in the finals after commanding performances in the semi-finals.
Tamil Nadu secured their place in the finals by edging out Uttar Pradesh in a nail-biting encounter, clinching victory with a narrow 1-0 margin. On the other side, Jammu & Kashmir dominated their semi-final match against Chandigarh, showcasing their strength with an impressive 4-0 triumph, securing their spot in the title clash.
