This is also one of the Philippines' street food. I'm not sure of its history. But there are lots of Filipino Chinese, so I guess it's understandable how siomai came to be one of the Philippines' street food. But this is already a Filipino version, which means the taste would be Filipino taste. It's just my opinion.
