The time period for campus placement is over. But, IIT can consider the remaining 10 percent students for jobs by 10 August if they get good offers. About 1400 students from various departments had registered for jobs in the training and placement cell of IIT BHU. After extending the date twice, till Wednesday 31 July, 1285 students were offered jobs with annual packages ranging from 20 lakhs to 1.68 crores.
This is more than 91 percent of the registered students. However, 115 students registered in the placement are still deprived of jobs.
The campus placement process starting from December 1, 2023 in IITs was completed by April at the latest in previous years, but this time due to it being an election year, many major companies did not show interest in coming to the campus in April and May. Due to this, the placement period was extended twice to July 31. 115 students remained till the last date. Companies like BPCL, IOC could not reach the campus
