Sunidhi Chauhan, a celebrated Indian singer, recently addressed the controversial topic of the Bollywood music mafia and payment issues in the industry during a podcast with Raj Shamani. Chauhan revealed that lobbying is pervasive in awards shows, music, films, and reality shows, and that she has often not been paid for her work on many films. She mentioned that sometimes she chooses not to take payment if she feels she doesn't need it or wants to help.

This issue is not new, as fellow singer Sonu Nigam has also spoken about the selective promotion within the industry. Chauhan emphasized the need to navigate these dynamics without hurting anyone's ego, acknowledging that not everyone shares her perspective.
