Sunny Deol making headlines as he prepares to reprise his iconic role of Tara Singh in the much-anticipated Gadar 2.
The sequel to the 2001 blockbuster is set to bring to life the gripping tale of the 1971 war between India and Pakistan.
But it seems the Bollywood star is feeling a mix of emotions. During his recent appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, Sunny admitted to being nervous about the film's reception, reminiscing about how Gadar faced industry skepticism upon its initial release.
In a promo shared by Sony TV, Kapil Sharma quizzed Sunny about his feelings ahead of the sequel's release. Speaking in Punjabi, the actor revealed, "There is excitement but also nervousness. When the film had released then, everyone in the industry...," he gestured a thumbs-down, leaving Archana Puran Singh shocked and the studio audience offering their applause in support.
Despite the initial challenges, Gadar has proved its enduring popularity as it was re-released recently to an enthusiastic response from audiences.
Sunny Deol expressed gratitude to the fans who uplifted the film against all odds, saying, "The audience loved the film so much that they silenced everyone. It is their support that has given us the courage to make Gadar 2."
