Nicole Kidman has a certain statuesque qualities in The Hour.

Playing Virigina Woolf writing and writhing in agony.

She is caught between  trance and half awakening that the writes undergo. But there is a difference. She is certanily grappling with the possibilities of fiction.  But dealing with her own depression makes her existence even more difficult.

She is acting with a prosthetic nose that looked actually silly. But by all means, worth the Oscar she had won for this 2002 movie!
