Taekwondo Kim Unyoung Cup; Afghanistan won two silver and four bronze medals from these competitions.
Afghanistan's national taekwondo team, which has participated in South Korea's Kim Eun-young Cup taekwondo competition with 8 athletes, arrived in Siapchang today in different weights. But despite having two finalists, he could not win a gold medal and ended his career in these competitions with two silver and four bronze medals.
In the first weight and 54 kg, Mohammad Ramin Amini competed with "Kim Ji-Hyun" from South Korea in the first match and entered the semi-finals by winning this match. At this stage, he lost to the Canadian taekwondo player and won the bronze medal.
In the second weight and 58 kg, Mohsen Rezaei defeated the American taekwondo player in the first match. In the quarter-finals, he overtook the Korean athlete and made his way to the semi-finals. At this stage, Rezaei competed with Louis Bailey from Australia and by winning against this opponent, he made it to the finals of the competition.
Mohsen Rezaei faced "Sharif" from Hungary in the final and defeated this taekwondo player in two rounds and settled for the silver medal.
In the third weight and 63 kg, Bijan Sadrzadeh competed with "Dong Woo Lee" from South Korea in the first round and was eliminated from the competition after losing in this match.
In the fourth weight and 68 kilograms, Hikmatullah Zain first defeated an opponent from Iraq; Then he won against his Canadian opponent to enter the semi-finals. At this stage, Zain lost to a Korean taekwondo player and settled for a bronze medal.
