The Afghanistan national cricket team left for the United Arab Emirates to participate in a training camp, 20 days before the start of the 2023 Fifty-One World Cup. The cricket board invited fifteen main players and three reserve players to the team's camp two days ago.
The composition of the Afghanistan national cricket team for the 2023 World Cup games has faced changes that some cricket experts do not consider to be beneficial to the team's cohesion.
The main fifteen are Ibrahim Zadran, Rahmanullah Ghorbz, Rahmat Shah, Riaz Hasan, Najibullah Zadran, Mohammad Nabi Isakhel, Ikram Alikhel, Heshmatullah Shahidi, Azmatullah Omarzai, Rashid Arman, Abdul Rahman, Noor Ahmad, Mujibur Rahman, Fazul Haq Farooqi and Naveen. Al-Haq were invited to the team to be present in the UAE for preparatory training.
Of course, three reserve players will also be with the team to help the team if needed in the nine World Cup games.
These three players are Golbedin Naib, Sharafuddin Ashraf and Farid Malek.
Before the World Cup, the Afghan national team will play in two preparatory games, on Friday against South Africa in Thiruvananthapuram and on Tuesday the against Sri Lanka in Guwahati.
This is the 13th edition of the 50-over cricket world cup, which will be held in India.
