The much awaited and anticipated 'The Archies' released on Netflix today🔥🎬
This marks the acting debut of Amitabh's grandson Agastya Nanda, SRK's daughter Suhana Khan and producer Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi Kapoor. Those play Archie, Veronica and Betty, respectively — the three prominent characters in Archie comics✅️
The names you heard above are star kids of this industry , from the well established families who got opportunity to showcase their talent to this world🔥
Also, Except for Mihir Ahuja (Jughead), who has earlier acted in various series and films, other actors, including Vedang Raina (Reggie), Yuvraj Menda (Dilton) and Dot (Ethel), are also making their acting debut with this film, which explores themes like friendship, freedom love and heartbreak.✅️
So let's talk about if this project will work or not , so I think this STAR KID FACTOR will play a major role in the success of this movie❓️
I think it would be very difficult for outsider to get debut in such a big banner , producer film but for Star kids it's the great advantage and privilege. The reason behind this is- Big banners backed the children of film personalities under an apparent belief that it would reduce their financial risks because of the curiosity factor of the audiences.✅️
We can’t walk away from all this nepotism and star kids thing Because it is very common issue and challenge that every new Comer in this industry would face and Bollywood celebs who are not star kid like tapsee , akshay etc has already faced .👍
For the record, the star kid is not a new phenomenon in cinema. In fact, Raj Kapoor had also used his father's name when he went out in search of a job in the Bombay Talkies studio. This is mentioned in a book written by his daughter Ritu Nanda on his father.💯
It will be interesting to see if the audiences will accept these newcomers with open arms or leave them in the lurch at a time when the Hindi film industry is grappling with a raging outsider-vs-insider debate and putting up with vociferous calls to boycott the ’nepotistic’ Bollywood.✅️
