The evolution of the media can be traced over the many decades or even centuries since it began. In ancient and medieval era, people used to pass on information via pictographs, word of mouth, royal declarations.

Various forms have existed since long ago which people used to pass on information. Media may not have been a formalised, established industry, but it existed nonetheless, because the ultimate role of media was, and remains till date to pass on information.

However, as times moved forward things began to take a turn for the worse.

Perhaps by the 1950s only, media truly began to become more and benign, passing on information of little importance; such as what clothes and fashion trends a celeb is wearing instead of things that actually matter, such as how their own nation is moving forward, advancement of technology, directors and musicians speaking on the evolving dynamics of their craft.

Now comes the new age, the 2020's and things could not be more stupid. Media has a level of impact on people's intellect, and as need becomes more redundant, their average IQ drops as well.

People are interested more in the marriage of some bloody actor, or how someone once forgot their social media password, instead of someone getting murdered, the increasing role of AI in determining the course of our lives, the evolution of cinema globally or matters of international relations and geo-strategy.

The media as it transformed into more of an established business venture, instead of a means of passing relevant and important information to the masses is now focused on spreading some of the most braindead content.

Media presses this useless pile of crap and people just gobble it up. As media dulls, so does the IQ of masses deteriorate to lower levels.
