The Banaras Hindu University administration has given permission to those students of the country, who are currently staying in the BHU campus and have completed their course, to stay in the university hostels free of cost until the situation in Bangladesh becomes normal.Generally, on completion of the course, the students have to vacate the hostel and pay guest fee if they stay beyond the stipulated period. No guest fee will be charged by the university administration for this.This decision has been taken in the interest of the students in view of the current situation in Bangladesh. International Centre Coordinator Prof. SVS Raju said that this decision has been taken in view of the challenges faced by students in returning to Bangladesh after leaving the hostel after completing the course.

He said that all possible help will be provided to the students and they can stay in the hostels till the situation becomes normal. Every year a large number of students from various countries including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar take admission in the university. An international hostel has also been built for the students to stay.
