The Benefits of Prayer Part 2
Ruby Graupera-Cassimiro is an example of prayer by others causing miraculous healing. Ruby had just finished a C-section when she went into sudden cardiac arrest. After 2 hours of not being able to restore her heart beat they called the family in to say their goodbyes. The family entered the room, got on their knees and prayed. Seconds before the doctor was going to pronounce the time of death and turn off the ventilator, her heart suddenly started beating again for the first time in two hours without medications or CPR, and she recovered with no symptoms.
Ruby had suffered and amniotic embolism, a rare event where amniotic fluid gets into the circulation. In most cases, if the person lives, there is brain damage and other issues. Ruby recovered like nothing happened.
This is an example where divine intervention is the likely explanation due to the prayers of her family.
The doctors told the family she likely has extensive brain damage and her mother said GOD doesn't work like that, HE healed all the way. Sure enough she didn't even have broken ribs from the chest compression, burns form the electroshock and it was as if nothing happened.
To those who think prayer is useless, the data disagrees.
From a theological perspective, prayer must be used in conjunction with action. That is, you might be the answer to someone's prayers. Don't tell a hungry person you will pray for them and not feed them if you have the ability to feed them. Feed them and pray for them.
