The Boy Who Survived the Andes Plane Crash
The year was 1972. A plane carrying 45 people, mostly Uruguayan rugby players and their friends and family, crashed into the Andes mountains. The plane was on its way to Chile for a match, but it never made it.
The crash site was in a remote area of the Andes, and the survivors were badly injured. They were also stranded in a harsh and unforgiving environment. The temperature was below freezing, and there was no food or water.
One of the survivors was a 16-year-old boy named Nando Parrado. Parrado was badly injured in the crash, and he was trapped in the wreckage for several days. When he finally escaped, he found himself in a world of pain and despair.
The other survivors were scattered across the mountainside, and they were all struggling to survive. They were weak from hunger and thirst, and they were slowly succumbing to the cold.
Parrado knew that he had to do something, or they would all die. He gathered a few of the strongest survivors, and they set out to find help.
They hiked for days, through snow and ice and mountains. They were constantly hungry and thirsty, and they were always on the verge of giving up. But Parrado refused to give up. He knew that they had to keep going, or they would all die.
Finally, after 10 days of hiking, Parrado and his companions reached a glacier. They found some food and water, and they were able to rest and regain their strength.
Then, they built a signal fire and waited for help to arrive. It took several more days, but eventually, they were rescued.
Isn't it just like movies?
Like a cautionary tale.
But it's reality, standing against all the odds for survival, not losing hope despite every hopeless situation, when the universe abandoned you!
That's the thing, you will never abandon yourself if the consequence is your end.
