The final pre-wedding festivities already begun in Mumbai after two massive parties that saw the biggest names across the world celebrate their union of Anant-Radhika, with celebrities like Justin Beiber, Katy Perry and Rihanna performing.
But have you wondered what must be the cost of the invitation of one of the most expensive wedding of the world.
As per a report on KoiMoi.com, the cost of the wedding invitation is between Rs 6 to Rs 7 lakhs. According to Glassdoor, the average base pay in India is Rs 9,45,489 per year. For more context, Forbes.com reports that the average salary of an Indian in Mumbai is Rs 2,117,870 per year and in Delhi is Rs 2,043,703.
The invitation comes in a large orange box. There is an image of Lord Vishnu with Goddess Lakshmi in his heart and a Vishnu Shloka written around it at the top of the box. The embroidery inside the box shows Vaikund, the home of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. The box also plays the Vishnu mantra, enhancing the spiritual ambiance.
Inside the invitation is a golden book adorned with an idol. The first page shows an image of Lord Ganesha, which can be detached and framed. Subsequent pages show depictions of Radha and Krishna, alongside the formal invitation also known as Nimantran Patra. There is also a small envelope that has a handwritten note from the Ambani family.
The invitation also includes photos of Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi, and Ma Ambe that are worth getting framed later. The last page illuminates with Diyas and has a quote from Rig Veda, which read "I am the same as you, you are the same as me. Our minds, words, and hearts are alike."
In addition to the main invite, there is also a smaller orange box containing a beautiful travel mandir. This box also has a pashmina shawl, which ranges between Rs 10,000 and Rs 12,000 handcrafted by Kashmiri artisans.
