This is a beautiful helo with an amazing design, nose like a dolphin's muzzle. Also, it wouldn't be wrong to say that it is the ant of the helicopter world, as its lifting capacity to weight ratio is just insane!! Simply amazing. I have seen it fly in a video, it flies gracefully like a bird!
You’ll never see such a unique helicopter. The Kaman K-MAX functions on a dual intermeshing rotor system. Each of the two rotors have flaps incorporated into it. This eliminates the need for a typical tail rotor. The K-MAX has two rotors, which allows it to hover more steadily and carry more payloads than traditional helicopters up to 2,700 kg at a time. During lift operations, only gallons of fuel are consumed every hour. In the lack of a tail rotor, the engine power is directed to a single point. As a result, the K-MAX can travel further than its conventional counterparts. The K-MAX is the first helicopter in the world to be certified for external lift operations. It can be useful in firefighting, logging, power line construction, the military, disaster assistance. In high threat circumstances, the K-MAX includes two unwanted versions that can be operated remotely.
