Sounds great I am sure would taste yum too
Although Durga Puja is over, but I'm still in the hangover.
As Bijoya period is going for Bengalis, which happens after Durga Puja, when relatives and friends meet, great and feast together.
So yesterday as it was Sunday, my house was full of relatives. My mother made the classic and the most iconic Mutton Ghugni.
In Kolkata, Mutton Ghugni is one of the most popular street side snack. It's made with chick pea and minced mutton/ lamb, a go to dish for Bengalis, especially made during special occasions or when the guests are coming.
The classic Ghugni is made with yellow peas, along with some fragment spices, topped with onion, coriander with some lemon squeezed on top, but obviously there are many variations one can make it. For the non vegetarian version of it, minced mutton is added into the Ghugni.
There are many similar chickpea dishes like these which are made across the country, no wonder India is obsessed with 'chana' or chickpeas.
