In a well lit room in Zalpora Village of Bandipora district in Nortn Kashmir-30 women/ girls homemakers and school and college going girls from economically downtrodden families but hugely self motivated to create livelihood for their families.
We at Ehsaas just give try to guide them towards the right direction. The skill development workshops are part on an ongoing program by Ehsaas in the area.
Post Floods of 2014 we did a survey in Bandipora, Sumbal Sonawari District in North Kashmir. Majority of houses were destroyed by the floods. So Ehsaas thought of adopting the Area and since then we have been doing our bit for the development of these people.
We constructed single storeyed houses for them with the help of the community. We have also established Community Excellence Centres (coaching centres) at different locations where underprivileged children gain quality education free of cost.
