it is a wonderful movie .. all time...just from the reality check his son was infant not 5 years old like shown in the film and its change everything as you can imagine!!
The Pursuit of Happyness is an American biopic on the life of Chris Gardner. The movie tells the rags to riches story of Chris Gardner. The film was directed by Gabriele Muccino. The screenplay written by Steven Conrad was based on the memoir written by Chris Gardner with Quincy Troupe. Will Smith stars as Christopher Gardner and Jaden Smith stars as his son, Chritopher, who's five years old. The movie follows Chris as he fails professionally and his wife leaves him,. Chris being financially broke, homeless has to raise his son while earning money and do an unpaid internship at a brokerage firm. The conflict in the movie revolves around passion, parenting and determination.
Chris investes all of his money in a protable bone density machines, which he thinks will overtake the standard x-rays. They sell but it takes a lot of time to sell one and between these gaps, his financial situation becomes very dire. He meets a brokerage firm manager and the managers is imrpressed from Chris and tells him to come for an interview for an internship. He can't pay the money for the cab and runs away. In his apartment he starts to paint it as a way to pay the rent in the form of this paint. He's arrested for unpaid parking tickets lacking money to pay the fine, he has to spend a night in jail. In the morning he rushes for the interview and even in shaby clothes manages to win over the interviewers and gets the internship which is unpaid. After hearing this, his wife leaves him. Chris and his son are even kicked out from their apartment. They spend a night in the restroom of a railway station.
Chris through his determined nature is able to attract many clients for the brokerage firm and he even passes the exam for the stockbroker's license. In the end we see him get a full time job at the firm. In the epilogue we get to know how Chris went on to start his own multimillion brokerage firm. This real life story is all about determination and the will to believe in oneself.
