As someone remarked, Pakistan has managed to defeat America, without fighting it, and while being its ally!

The root of the Afghan problem clearly lies in Pakistan's support to the Taliban. Without addressing that, there can never be any lasting solution.

The Pakistani side revealed in an FT interview earlier this month that the Biden administration was giving them the cold shoulder, with Biden not having bothered to speak to Imran Khan since taking over as US president. The snub signals that Biden sees Khan as a puppet of Pakistan’s military apparatus, and not worth his time.

Whatever be the case, the region has just become more dangerous.
