Russ is one of the most criticized players in the NBA and for good reason. Let’s talk about his strengths:

o One of the best playmakers in the game right now.

o Russ is a SIGNIFICANT upgrade from Dennis Schroder

o Russ draws a lot of attention in transition taking a lot of the pressure from Lebron & AD.

o Russ is one of the best rebounding PGs of all-time which creates rim pressure for opponent teams.

o Russ is also a great leader and motivator which adds intangibles to this team.

Now, Lets talk about his weaknesses:

o Russel Westbrook might be the WORST volume 3PT shooter in NBA history.

o Another cause of worry is FT shooting. Russel Westbrook just had the WORST FT% of his career this past season shooting an abysmal 65.6% FT%.

o Russ is also an average defender at best, he is an average one-on-one defender and a below average help defender.

o Russ can sometimes make questionable passing decisions on the court.

WILL THIS MOVE WORK?

o I believe the best way this could work is if Lebron plays as a PF more like a stretch four and AD plays as the primary Big in the line up and I truly believe this is how the Lakers will play this season so don’t be surprised if you see Lebron taking the most catch & shoot 3’s he has ever taken in his career and AD dominating in the paint as the only Centre.

o Regardless of all of this I can’t wait to see Brow x Brodie x King together on the court this season and the Lakers will still be a powerhouse dominating almost all the teams in the NBA!
