The students together organized this attractive event in the BHU campus. Various cultural programs were also held to mark the festival.On Monday, Lord Krishna Leela was celebrated with fervour in Shiva's city Kashi. Students together organized a Matki breaking competition in Mahamana's garden before the celebration of Janmashtami.The entire campus echoed with the chanting of Jai Shri Krishna... of IIT-BHU. A pot was tied at a height of about 30 feet and then broken. As soon as the pot broke, the students chanted- Govinda aala re....Hundreds of students climbed over each other and broke the pots forming a pyramid. Students were pouring water on each other with the pots. Some girl students performed the role of Shri Krishna and Radha. Their performance was applauded a lot.
