The three powerful goddesses of fate!

Norse mythology is one of the most fascinating mythologies out there. But most may only know odin, thor and loki. However this mythology has much more left in store.

The three norns, urd, verdandi and skuld were the powerful goddesses of fate in the norse mythology.

Urd weaved the web of fate and the events of the past, verdandi focused on the present and skuld took charge of the future.

They guided the fate of all living beings ensuring balance in the universe.

It was believed that the threads of fate dispensed justice to all from the well of urd at the base of the tree.
